We’d talked about renovating our kitchen for so many years that it became a joke among certain friends.
Now, much to our happiness, it’s done—along with powder room, a hall-to-master bath conversion, and a new large hall bath, formerly a guest room (we still have one of those, though—don’t worry if you’d like to visit!). This is a case where procrastination paid off: we had time to really think it through, to come up with ideas we might not have, and most importantly, and to acquire the sense and means to do the bathrooms while we were ripping out plumbing.
It went about as well as any such upheaval could, and as quickly. We are also grateful not to have horror stories to tell—just “before and after” photos to share. Do come see it for yourself!
